first day of kindergarten

Zoe started kindergarten this past week
Her first day was pretty overwhelming--for me, not her!

She will be going to the same school that both my sisters
and myself attended.

Some of my former teachers still teach there too!

She had quite the entourage escort her to school

My hubby took the day off

My sister tagged along too

And her lola (grandma) and her lolo (grandpa)
joined the party as well

All my anxiousness and anxiety was all for nothing
because she did great (of course!)

I still remember like it was yesterday when I brought her home
from the hospital

I was so overwhelmed and excited...
this little baby was my baby
and I was her mom

I remember everyone telling me:
"Cherish every moment because it goes by so fast..."

I have to tell all those people that they were wrong....

Because it just doesn't go by fast...
Time flies by at warp speed...

In the blink of an eye
my little baby is now a little girl
all grown up

How cute she looks in her uniform, its great that she just went happily and joined her friends but I can understand its so overwhelming for you. She'll have fantastic memories of you all turning up on her first day of school:).

They do get old fast, but luckily she's not completely grown up yet (just imagine how you'll feel when she gets her driver's license). She looks adorable in her uniform -- and how much fun is it that she's going to the school you went to? That always creates such nostalgia.

She looks so happy and cute in her uniform. I can so relate. My youngest started kindergarten and it was so bittersweet.

awww. how wonderful that the entire family was there for support. Kindergarten is bittersweet. When my son started I as so proud of him but I felt like I opened the cage and let him go. He'll be flying close to home now but I can't help but think of when he begins to fly further out into the world. Bittersweet....
